Uses Markdown and journal CSS to look nice, including a changelog comment (now screened), and thus is in fact not best viewed in site theme! Rather than HTML-ify everything, I just archived the thing & stuck the current CSS below.

quickfire notes

  • contact: PM a respective journal; if in doubt, feel free to drop a comment here (all screened)
  • active hours: USAmerican, schedule can vary; usually sparse around the weekend
  • RP pace: Varies. I write best with momentum so boomerangs are loved, but sometimes I blink and a “day off” turns into half a week. If you want me to prioritize a thread, feel free to reach out!
  • RP style: Small present-tense brackets by default, but happy to switch to prose and/or ditch the small. Bracket tone varies; I like to throw in expression shifts and body language details, especially when icons don’t cut it, and introspection is my jam. No obligation to match my length or style!

I’ve been in DWRP since late August 2023, and while I feel like I’ve gotten the swing of things, there’s always something new to learn. Pointers welcome!

general habits/preferences

  • You’ll likely find me playing in memes, PSLs, and small communities; not actively seeking a game. As of 2024 February, I’m almost exclusively in [community profile] labyrinthum! Reach out to me if you want a PSL/meme thread, but note that I prioritize game tags.
  • Most of my threads are tag-outs so I can better manage my active thread count. More often than not I’m tagging canonblind, because something about the character and/or top-level caught my interest. If you want to tag in to one of my characters, give me a poke and I’ll probably be down to thread with you!
    • Need ideas? I’ve collected some meme prompts I like in this post ;V
  • Crosscanon? Crossmedium? 500 icons, 1 icon, none? All good with me~
  • Positive CR? Great. Negative CR? Fantastic. Anything in-between? By all means! I prefer to let CR develop organically as threads play out, as opposed to jumping in with heavily-established relationships (e.g. suddenly our characters are childhood BFFs), and for this reason I usually ignore shippy memes. I’m not opposed to assumed CR or even romance, but let’s see if our characters and writing vibe first!
    • caveat: Non-misfire texting threads assume some degree of acquaintanceship as a rule. The characters swapped numbers at some point, after all.
  • I don’t have many hard ‘no’s, and don’t need content warnings. Although I rarely seek out smut, I’ll write it if the dynamic hits.
  • Typically I tag around in talk-y memes with no particular place, just because “here’s a backdrop, go” usually doesn’t spark a thread idea. That said, scene-setting is lovely. If a thread’s been going for a while, I’m probably happy to nudge it away from the memeverse’s voidy jamjar and establish some ground!
    • (Still applicable to memes/PSLs, just crossed out for aforementioned not-active-in-memes reasons.)
  • Improv practice is a big reason I’m here at all. Throw me a wild, wacky scenario; make our characters face things they would never touch in canon; and let us yes-and/no-but together into the sunset.

cool and nifty link to view current page in site theme

Because this journal has a bunch of Custom CSS to make certain posts look nice and uniform, but that also breaks a bunch of codes that were made for site theme. So here’s a link to view the page you’re on in your default site theme.
