TL;DR │ Heir to Leader of a wealthy sociopolitical powerhouse in the upper half of a fantasy-steampunk city. Would rather track targets than talk politics. Heavy is the crown, but Caitlyn makes use of what she has.

At a Glance

visual │ Dark blue hair, bright blue eyes. ~183cm/6ft tall, and often wears heels. Young adult, 20-something; likely closer to 20–25 than 30, but canon doesn’t specify.
 Outfit varies by canonpoint; includes first season holdover, commander getup, getup with overcompensatory cape, and finally a less decorated uniform.

demeanor │ Fairly stiff, typically stern, and not prone to large gestures—but can be facially (+gifspam) and vocally expressive. Says more with her eyes and hands than words. Has sardonic moments, and occasionally touchy.

extra │

• No superhuman abilities, but insanely good with a gun. Subsequently I default to her either not having it or nerfing it somehow.
• Early- & mid-season 2 Caitlyn is obsessed with one (1) goal. Late-s2 Caitlyn is still focused, but capable of having a conversation that isn't about her emotional support manhunt. Happy to play either, or even try a season 1 canonpoint for a less-overtly-harmful flavor of fixation.

IC permissions

• physical affection │ ✔ish; reaction will depend on canonpoint & relationship to the toucher, but Caitlyn tends to appreciate this. She’ll occasionally offer it herself, even to a stranger, as a means of comfort.
• romance + shipping │ ??????… Caitlyn’s character arc is inextricably tied to her partner’s, and it is uhhh complicated. The TL;DR of it is that she’s either committed, rebounding, or a niche third option (either early canon or AU’d) where no love interest is in the picture at all. OOCly I’m open to whatever, so hit me up if you’re interested; otherwise, Caitlyn will likely reject any advances.

• violence + injury │ ✔, kinda; Caitlyn is an extremely proficient sniper—and that’s about it. At closer range, depending on canonpoint she’s somewhere on a scale of “absolute hot garbage, OHKO’d” to “trained enough to hold her own in a spar, but will probably still get her ass kicked.”
  • Caitlyn will raise her rifle at a moment’s notice, but doesn’t tend to fire recklessly. With the exception of one (1) person (and even so, only past a certain canonpoint), Caitlyn will let her target talk long before she pulls the trigger.
• mind-reading │ ✔, no defenses here.

  Open to hashing stuff out in advance, or just winging whatever insanity unfolds on its own. Stupid in-law texting, serious canon-adjacent death standoffs, whatever. I will happily make Caitlyn eat dirt if it keeps the thread interesting. Although I’m unsure about post-canon contact, this is not unique to Jinx; if you have an idea, shoot your shot!

potential warnings │ Classism, familial death, state violence, and war are extremely relevant to Caitlyn’s character. The canon deals with additional heavy themes, including (but not limited to) mental health, suicide, drug use, and terminal illness.

Caitlyn is unlikely to bring up heavy topics unprompted. She doesn’t shy from them, either. Opt-out post is here.
